I worked at The Edmonton Journal from 2005 through 2012, first as a crime reporter, then as a political reporter and finally as the paper’s environment reporter. In June 2017, I joined National Observer as a Montreal-based editor and reporter. In 2018, I moved to Ottawa and joined National Observer‘s Ottawa newsroom as a freelance editor and reporter before becoming the news site’s director of engagement. Until October, 2018, I held the role of chief marketing officer, responsible for digital audience growth and engagement.
Here you’ll find a selection of my stories.
From unpacking “ethical oil” and the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline project, to profiling police recruits and community living in Canada’s Northwest Territories, these are some of my long-form journalism projects.
