In 2008, I got to work with the Edmonton Journal’s fabulous team of summer interns — four reporters and a photographer — on a series that zeroed in on the city’s core to tell stories about hope and community-building. I get ridiculously gushy when I talk about this project and the people I got to work with, but it was a pleasure to plan and edit something like this from start to finish.
